Teresa Sue Bratton - On Foreign Policy

Teresa Sue Bratton, MD, believes that restoring our country's reputation as a world leader is a top priority.

Dr. Bratton supports:

  • Orderly withdrawal of troops from Iraq as soon as possible.

  • An increase in homeland security efforts, while upholding our Constitutional freedoms.

  • Strengthened presence in Afghanistan with increased troops.

  • Providing leadership in global issues such as ending the genocide in Darfur, and addressing global poverty and disease.

  • Using diplomacy to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and increase our diplomatic relationship with Iran to achieve greater stability.

"In recent years, our great nation has been perceived by the world as not being a team player. Now is the time for us to not only reengage with the rest of the world as such, but to use our leadership to become a respected team leader. With the ongoing issues of global warming, the rising cost of fuel and the need to reduce nuclear weapons, it is important to work closely with other nations to build a better future for our children," said Bratton.
